Any L&D nurse that would be willing to answer a few questions for research paper?

Published

Hello everyone! This site is amazing, I've been on here for a few years now, but never had an actual account until just today.

Little bit about myself. I am a Nursing Assistant of 4 years, with experience in nursing homes, hospitals, and home health. I am currently enrolled in a Medical Assistant program, and have JUST applied to nursing school about a week ago and am currently waiting to hear back. (SO EXCITED)

For a requirement to fulfill one of my pre-reqs I am taking for nursing school, I have to write a research paper. My subject is determining the nursing specialty that is most interesting to me. I will be researching labor and delivery, neonatal, flight nursing, and travel nursing. All of these are definitely interesting to me and I am needing to extensively research each of those topics. I am required to have both primary and secondary resources. For primary resources I must interview a nurse in the specialty personally, and include the information from that interview in my paper.

I personally do not know any nurses in these fields (I live in a very tiny rural area and do not have these specialties anywhere near me) and I am wondering if there would be any nurses on here that are employed in any of the following specialties, and would be willing to be a resource for me?! I would be so grateful :)

These are the questions that I need to ask:

1) What is a brief description of your job and field of nursing?

2) What do you like best about this specialty?

3) What experience or training did you have prior to this field? Did that help you in this certain field?

4) What advice do you have for me prior to entering this specialty?

Thank you SO much for your help!!!

You have posted in four different forums each of the areas that you plan to specialize. However, no one here can vouch you cannot prove to anyone on this forum this Internet website is actually a nurse. You really are supposed to going to interview someone in those specialties that you plan. While we like to help students with their homework there is no way for you to prove that anyone responds to you including me is even a nurse .
