I would love to have a on the spot hire...but that is great to hear that they offered you a position. I've seen their ads but never applied. I'm a recent new RN with only over 6 mths exp. My problem is that I can only find per-diem work and cannot get enough hours. I have already left a local hosp b/c I wasn't getting hours and now the place I'm at (corrections) they are doing the samething. Funny thing is they keep hiring more, and more nurses. I have spoken to them on this but to no avail they keep bringing them in the door. I'm hoping that there is a light at the end of the tunnel soon. I'm beginning to feel like I should of went to school to become a teacher and not a nurse.
Just a thought and interested to know - did they discuss salary. Just wanted to know what a starting salary is there. I know I'm not a good candidate b/c I'm new blood coming in the field but perhaps down the road sometime in the future.
