Any info on RN-BSN or RN-MSN Programs in GA?

U.S.A. Georgia

Hey all, I'm gearing up to comlpete my final semester of my ASN program this Fall and would love to hear some feedback on various BSN or grad programs. I really would like to go straight for my MSN but I would be more then willing to take the BSN step as well. I also don't mind if the classes are online or face to face...I just wanna get in a program that is worth my time and money.

So please tell me the good, bad, and or ugly...about any these programs!

TIA

Well, I can't tell you from PERSONAL experience, because I'm starting RN-BSN in August, but I've looked into West Georgia and Jacksonville State (in Alabama)

West Ga meets one day a week, in several different areas around Ga (not really sure what area you are in) but you have to all all your BSN core classes completed by the first day of class. A few people I work with have good things to say about the program, but you do have to meet one day a week and there are a few clinical hours. It takes 2 semesters, but only starts in Aug.

Jacksonville State is 100% online, zero clinicals, and you can have 3 or less core classes to complete when starting the program. It takes 3 sememsters, starts any semester. Several people I work with also have been through this program and say it's awesome.

Both schools have programs that are RN-BSN-MSN where you take classes towards grad school while taking BSN classes.

If you are looking at the NP route, apparently UAB has a kickin' online NP program.

I dont know how helpful that is because I dont know where you live, but maybe it's a start for your research. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! I currently live in the Middle GA area but I'm hoping to head to the Atlanta area once I graduate. Both of these options sound pretty nice. I hadn't even thought about looking out of state for programs so this was really helpful.
