hello! i have just relocated to a rural hospital and have been put in charge of infection control for the hospital and clinic. the nurse that did it before me was pretty sick of it:rolleyes: and it shows from the poor condition of the infection control policy manual/filing cabinet and lack of meetings/logs over the past few months. i am excited to start this project but have little experience in infection control having worked in big city hospitals all of my career. any advice or suggestions would be great. also, if anyone could recommend any books, websites or training materials i would be very grateful.
thank-you!!

You can also call a university/teaching hospital and talk to their iNfection Control Nurse--APIC has local chapters, too. Good luck to you!
