I applied to a masters entry CNL and a masters entry NP program and want to know of life for new grads of these programs after school. Is the job market as horrible for master degree holders as it is for other RN's? Do you feel prepared / equipped enough to meet the demands of nursing with more responsibility? Please, your thoughts.

I'm an NP who graduated in 2009 from a direct entry program. I had no trouble finding a job as an FNP, but that may have been specific to my geographic area. I felt well prepared to be an entry level NP, with the emphasis on entry level. I accepted a position where I would have a lot of support and mentoring from colleagues, and in my opinion, that's the key to success. Good luck to you!
