Any Detroit Area nurses here??

Hi There!!

Im new to this site and I am looking at getting started to take my pre req's this summer. A little background on me:

I am 28 years old with an Assoc. degree in early childhood ed and a BA in early childhood ed. I have always had an interest in nursing but never tried prusing it til now. I had preemie twins in Sept. of 06 and my kids spent 40 days in the NICU. I was so intrigued by everything and took as much of a role in thier care as I could. I would LOVE LOVE to end being a NICU nurse.

Im only looking at getting my associates right now and I was wondering what schools you all went to?

Im looking at Wayne County Commuity College and I am going to the informational nursing prgram seminar next week. I just was seeing if anyone on here went to that shcool and what your thoughts and reccomendations are? I am also looking at Macomb but it seems that WCCC takes double the amount of students per year.

Or if anyone has any rec's on any other schools where I can get my assoc. in nursing would be great!

Thanks!

Hey there-

I went to OCC and had a good experience there. I now am at beaumont. One thing I can recommend is wherever you go to school, go to financial aid office and fill out fasfa and explore the state of michigan nursing sholarship. Good luck!!!

Maybe you should post this in the Michigan Nursing Forum. You might get more responses.
