Any current RN students at MATC - Milwaukee?

I'm going to be starting my "core technical" RN classes at MATC Milwaukee next semester and just wondering what to expect. When do you start clinicals, how often are clinicals, and who are the best instructors at the downtown campus first semester? Thanks for reading.

I'm finishing my last semester at MATC right now. I'm out at the Mequon campus for classes but clinicals can be all over.

It's going to be tough and culture shock. Get a study group ASAP and if you need help ask. Start NCLEX questions right away even though you don't know the content the style of question is important.

Clinicals start a couple weeks after the first semester starts. They are once a week on Thursdays first semester.

It's an amazing program and an amazing ride. It's the hardest thing I've done but so incredibly worth it! Good luck!

I start core technical classes in the spring

Are you starting at Mequon or downtown?

I'm starting downtown... sorry for the delay in response. I didn't notice the last 2 posts. Which campus are you going to, winner?

And I've got a new account :)

Both locations are great. I'm graduating in 22 days! I've done classes at Mequon but clinicals I'd have several downtown instructors and they have been amazing. It's a great program and they push you hard! Good luck and enjoy the ride!
