Any CMA's (AAMA) Gone to Past AAMA Conferences?

Hello,

I am a CMA thru the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants) and there is a conference coming up in September. My question is has anyone out there who is a CMA ever gone to one of the conferences and approximately how much does it cost (fees, hotel, airfare, etc...) and what else would I expect out of the conference? This year it is being held in Houston. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!

I went to the Oregon conference 2 years ago. It was not very fun. The lectures were interesting, but I felt like I was the only person under age 50.

The cost was pretty fair, i did not stay at a hotel.

Thank you for your input and I am still thinking about this year's conference despite I am 28 and the CMA's might be my mother's age!
