Hey everyone! I got accepted into Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing in Richmond Va, and Germanna community college in Va. But which school should I choose? I also applied to UVA, but I won't know if I got in until May 1.
Pros: to Germanna is it's cheeper, and I am already familiar with it because that's where I did all of my prerequisites
Cons: I would only have an associates degree, two more years one class a semester
then I will have to transfer somewhere to get a bachelors degree/ BSN
Pros to Bon Secours: I will get my BSN in 3 more years
Cons: I will have to get an apartment, and it's more expensive
Some feed back from anyone would be appreciated, but especially from anyone attending these schools!!!

First, congratulations on your acceptance into not one but two nursing schools! This is just my two cents as I live in Virginia Beach and don't have experience with either of those schools. I would go to Germanna and get the RN. Then get a job and go back for the BSN and hopefully find a place to work that has tuition reimbursement for the BSN. Of course, it's ultimately up to you and I hope whatever you decide works out well for you.

Know that Bon Secours was ranked #1 NCLEX-RN pass rate for 2010-11. The hospital system is consistently rated as tops in the nation for working mothers and as a top employer. http://www.bonsecours.com/assets/pdfs/news/BSHR-1086_Bon_Secours_NCLEX_Release_3.pdf
