Any alternates out there??

Hey guys, I'm just wanting to hear from any alternates and how you coped with the daily anxiety!! Waiting for that phone to ring is tough!!

I'm an alternate for a nursing program and its killing me!! We had orientation Dec 3rd and class starts Jan 13. I am really hoping to hear something this month, because I just don't know if I can drop everything (mainly my M-F job).......or is this something I SHOULD drop my job for??

I know I can find another job; I work as a pct in a hospital 7am to 3pm, but I love where I work and the people I work with. I feel strongly that my manager would work with my nursing schedule if I gave them some notice, but I don't think they could do much at the last minute.

Any help or advice would be great!! Thanks!!

I have my fingers crossed for you. I was not an alternate, but I knew someone who was and he got his letter on 12/2.
