Tomorrow is the last day of my CNA program....woohoo!!!!! And the state exam ( both skills & written) is 2 weeks away which I have to take both in the same day....everything is scheduled by the school. I live in San Jose, CA and the test center is kinda far from where I live...I take the bus so it probably take more than 2 hours to get there. My school allow us to choose our testing center and date that are convenient to us, I'm glad they did. I will call my school to let them know that I'll take the state exam @ Santa Clara instead of the place that they scheduled for us...so far from from home.
MY QUESTION is: Does any1 here already took the state exam @ Santa Clara -Red Cross? If you already been there b4 please let me know does this place use these types of things:
~Do they use the dummy or a real person for your patient?
~When you make an occupied bed do they use the flat sheet (that's the bottom one) or do they use the alternative sheet instead of the flat sheet (not sure what it called)? I was told that we can use either of those sheet as the bottom sheet. ~Do they use the pad sheet too or just only the draw sheet?
~How many skills do we have to perform beside the hand-washing as given?
~I heard that this place don't have the BP skill is this is true?
~For feeding the pt do we feeding w/ real food or do we just imagine it?
~How many questions are there in the written test?
~When I go take the test can I bring my backpack and CNA book w/ me to study while waiting for my turn to call in...if can where can I put this stuff before I go in to take the exam?
Please answer any of those q's if you know, thanks!!!
