So I am a nursing student who started suffering from a pretty unpleasant anxiety disorder about 3 years ago after the death unexpected death of my younger sister. For the most part I have great control of my fears and anxiety but its a bit of a struggle some days.
So my question is, are there other nurses or nursing student who deal with an anxiety disorder? And if so how do you handle it?

I have GAD. Some days area struggle, but it's important for me to understand why I'm feeling anxious. Is it because I haven't studied enough? Are there a bunch of assignments this week? Is my school bag ready for class? This may sound really silly, but being much more "type A" has really helped my anxiety with nursing school. I also make it a point to have one day a week where I don't do school of any kind. This allows me to decompress and relax. If I try to go with no break, my anxiety gets worse.
These are just some things that work for me. It is important to find what works for you. Good luck; you can do this!
