Hello everyone! I would like to get a practicing CNM's opinion about this if possible lol. If I have the choice in my ASN program to take either a third semester of anatomy & physiology, or microbiology, which would be more helpful in the future as a CNM?
Thanks,
Kate

Well, I'm not yet a CNM, but I know that BSN programs usually require microbiology (at least mine did), so maybe you should take that if you can. I LOVED microbiology! I think it is helpful in working as a nurse.
Hello CNM2B!
What the BSN schools want has been the driving force behind my decisions in classes up to this point, so I was planning on micro. But now I'm hoping to go through Frontier's ASN-MSN bridge program, so I'm thinking I may have a little more freedom.
I have heard that before that micro was an interesting, enjoyable class, so I'll probably stick with my plan to take micro.
Thanks!

I think both are good but if you won't be getting any basic Micro anywhere else, I would say definitely go Micro. It will give you a good ground understanding of the how's and why's of infectious disease which is always good for perspective.
Ofcourse, I'm just a fellow student but that my opinion!
