Anesthesia Technician...good experience for CRNA school?

I am giving serious consideration to an anesthesia technician job and would like to know your thoughts about it. I am wondering what the job entails and if you found that exposure to be very helpful later on when the time came for school. I am assuming it would be on some level - exposure to the OR, anesthesia team, etc. Is this type of position along the same lines as a nurse aide or would there be a higher level of care involved? I am not familiar with what this type of tech does so if anybody has been one...please...let me know what your experience has been.
