Anatomy/Physiology Question

I wouldn't, if anything get a cheapy ap book or review your notes. When I did ap 2 they recovered things just in case your prior ap 1 instructor didn't.

It really just depends on how you feel personally, but just keep in mind that some schools will average both grades.

I agree that it really does depend on how you feel about the material. I'm in A&P II right now, and there are some students who haven't taken the first course in years, and they're struggling. My teacher didn't do any kind of review of A&P I, though, just jumped right in to the new material, which I think is more the norm (there's so much material to cover, there wouldn't be much time for a review). I would definitely at least review on your own, since it does all build on each other.

It all depends on how much you remember and how comfortable you feel. It also depends on how long ago you took the class. If the program requires A&P I as a prereq, most schools won't accept the grade if it's over 5 years old. (at least where I'm from.)

Thank you for the advice. I think what I will do is retake the course just to make sure that nothing was passed up in the course I took in college but I doubt it. I'm now wondering would it be better to take Chemistry I by itself since I haven't taken it since high school or should I take it with A&P I since I still have notes from the course and I still remember some of the material covered in the course. Just don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

I think you could take the two together, no problem, especially if you've taken both before. But then, I should say that Chemistry came very naturally to me (unlike Physics). There would be a lot of crossover between A&P and Chemistry, though, which would definitely help with A&P. Unless you're working a lot or have other commitments, the two classes together shouldn't be overwhelming.

If I were in your position, I would probably take A&P I again, too - not just for the grade or for A&P II, but because the material is so essential to nursing school, and you don't want to have to relearn things from prerequisites when you're there.
