Anatomy/Physiology 1 with General Chemistry

Hello Everyone, I am looking for honest feedback!

I am currently in school for Nursing with only having to take A&P1, A&P2, and General Chemistry before I can start the Nursing Program. This upcoming Spring semester 2020, I was wanting to take A&P1 and General Chemistry together and was wondering from those who have taken those together if this is a good idea. I have taken General Chem in high school about 7/8 years ago so it has been awhile. I am also working full-time with the option to schedule my own hours at work and most importantly I am a single-mother to a 8 Month year old which can be very time consuming.

What are your inputs, and how has these 2 classes worked for you?

-Thank You ?

I had to take Physiology (my school had Anat separate from Phys) and General Chemistry together, and I also had already taken Chemistry eight years prior. Had to do a retake because it had expired for a program I wanted to apply to. For me, it was really a refresher/review, but I still had to concentrate on it since it had been awhile. I guess you are in the same boat. If you did well in Chemistry way back then, you should be okay this time around too. Just remember, it's not going to be a skate in the park as you do have to recall a bunch of stuff and probably memorize (again) a whole bunch of formulas too. Don't take it lightly or think of it as an easy class because you took it before. I'm glad I had it before because it did make it simpler and made more sense, but I still had to dedicate a bit of time to it.

If you did horribly in Chemistry the last time you took it, you may want to consider taking it by itself. Also, depends on the teacher too! If you did fine the last time, it is definitely doable. I got an "A" in both, but I did have to spend a lot of time studying for both as well.

If there is somebody around to help watch your child, that will help you in being able to dedicate more time to studying. I wasn't working at the time, so that helped as well. If you are working full-time and do not have help in watching your child, you may want to do each class separately.

Good luck
