I will be starting my courses in the fall...are there any books that I can purchase ahead of time that would provide a good basis/reference for medical terminology, anatomy, drug information that I could start reviewing? I want to exercise my brain before I get into the classroom environment as it's been some time since I've been in a school environment.

Thank you.

I'm currently taking A & P and Med Term during the summer.

I have to say that I LOVE my medical terminology text. I've learned more from the Med Term book than the A & P class. The reason is the way they have the book layed out. The organization promotes memorization. And the focus on terms instead of bogging you down with unnecessary details.

Medical Terminology for Health Professions 5th Edition,

By Ann Ehrlich and Carol L. Schroeder.

I bought mine on Half.com for 40 bucks, usually goes for 80+. But since you don't need it for a specific class, get an old edition. I saw the 4th edition on Ebay for like 10 bucks while looking for it.

EDIT: I did you one better. Here's a 4th edition on Ebay with a buy it now price of $3.37. (+2.99 shipping)

Veiw it HERE.

Good luck to you!!!
