Anatomy & Physiology - Indianapolis, IN - urgent need help!

Hi all,

I have a bit of a dilemma. Due to work demands, I was not able to get an A from Ivy Tech's ANP 101 class. So, I have been forced to take it at another school. I have now secured a different job and I am ready to take this class with no issues. I need to take it at another accredited Indianapolis area school and transfer the credit back to Ivy Tech.

Can anyone advise me what school Ivy Tech would accept ANP 101 credit from with no issues regarding accepting the credit.

FYI - I am planning to complete 102 at Ivy Tech but am open to other alternatives.

I have come to find through much research that most other schools in Indiana dont do their AP credits the same way as Ivy Tech! at Ivy tech Ap 101 and 102 are worth 3 crdits each. Most state colleges ( IUPUI, ISU, Purdue, SBU) award 5 credits for anatomy and 5 for physiology. So if you take AP 101 and 102 they will only transfer to a state school as either anatomy OR physiology you would have to take ANP 201 to recieve all ten credits at a state school. I do believe if u take one at a state school for 5 cr hrs it will transfer back to Ivy tech just fine but it would also be a waste of 2 hours every week as Ivy tech only requires 3 cr. hrs. and you would still then have to take 102

I'm in Ivy Tech's RN program. I took all of my pre-reqs there, so I'm not sure how transferring credits for A&P would work, exactly - if I were you I would talk with an academic adviser and then maybe look into IUPUI, since you're in the Indianapolis area.
