I am studying for my ANCC test and have read in earlier posts that this content has showed up on the exam. I have googled this and from what I can see it is a book? Those of you who studied this, did you purchase the book or did you find a PDF summary somewhere?

I needed it for my ethics course, so my college bookstore carried it. It's a thin paperback-less than 100 pages if I remember correctly. Try looking on Amazon or some other web bookstore. You can probably pick up a copy for not much $$$.
Good luck studying. Have you scheduled your test yet?
I sent my paperwork in to the ANCC 2 weeks ago and have heard nothing from them yet. They DID cash my check rather promptly though

I had the same issue when I was studying for my ANCC exam. I couldn't find the social policy statement either and then found out I had to buy it. I decided not to purchase it in the end and still passed my test without a problem. I really don't think you need to purchase the booklet. I just made sure I knew the basics in terms of the social policy statement and if I remember correctly those those are outlined in Fitzgerald's review class.
Are you taking the ANF or FNP exam?
Also, it does take awhile for the ANCC to respond after you have registered to take the exam. It took them at least 6 or 7 weeks to respond. So, they are not quick. It's just hard to study for it when you don't have a test date. At least I found that to be the case. Pace yourself. Don't forget to take study breaks. Good luck!
I think I heard back in about 5 weeks, but once I heard, I could have scheduled the test for the next day. I wish I still had my ANA social policy book so I could send it to you, but I sold it on Amazon. Didn't get much for it if I remember correctly:rolleyes:.

i heard back in exactly 4 weeks from the day i sent it off, it is easier to study when you know you have a deadline:redbeathe
