Stay home. Otherwise you risk being impaired.

Plus, codeine can only be metabolized by 50% of the population. If you have a history of asthma/allergies/cough with other illnesses, are you having bronchospasm....need albuterol inhaler/spacer? Or, are you having a lot of drainage? You are right about staying home: Not good to be on codeine at work. Honey sounds great! Feel better!
oh yes history of asthma allergies, I never had any respiratory issues until i moved back to the US in 1990 then I was constantly coughing, wheezing, finally diagnosed properly after I kept having issues with hives and was sent to see an allergy. skin testing was all negative but then she decided to do PFT's and whoa. I also started probitic with this round of amox. This a sinus infection so dealing with a lot of drainage, I use a netti pot and I did the honey tea thing last night slept great and am looking forward to my full schedule today thanks. I have my proventil but dont think I will need it today. Thanks I see you are a PNP also where do you practice
Kansas City...hospital :) The Midwest is notorious for allergens! I hope your day goes well with your patients and that you feel better!
