My name is Stephanie and I have questions regarding the American International Institute of Health in Virginia. Are they accredited by the virginia board of nursing and what is the school like. I know that it's a private institution, but I am not sure about the school. Can someone who knows about the school tell me more about it? Has anyone attended AIIH

and what was your experience like at the school.

According to that document, AIIH has provisional approval from the Virginia BON.

What does provisional approval mean exactly? Will I be able to take the board exam or not? I really would love to know any information about AIIH if anyone has any?

Stephanie, I currently attend this school. This was the worst mistake I have ever made in terms of education. AIIH is the most unprofessional school you will ever attend. This is supposed to be a one year course however the last two set of classes took 14-18 months to graduate and most of them still have not received there transcripts to the take the NCLEX. The only benefit of attending this horrible school is the price however it is not worth it. Most of the student eventually transfer to other schools. The most recent class that started in August of 2007 is still there and with no graduation date in sight. Tell as many people as you can to NEVER attend this school..buyer beware!!!! Oh gosh please don't tell me that I'm supposed to attend the school next week, this is the only school I could find that starts this year. I mean how long do you have to go to graduate from there? how are the instructors? Are they bad too. I mean it's too late now I'm supposed to attend the school on November 17th and the one girl I talked to was getting readyto take her NCLEX exam and she liked the school. She said that the other school she went to the Global Institute of Health was a bad school to attend. Oh well I guess i have to be on them constantly and make sure they give me my transcripts.
