Am I the only one that cant get SATA?

Published

Im testing in 2 weeks and have studied the content, both Kaplan and Hurst and am at the point of just practicing questions. However, no matter how much I try with the "select all that apply" questions, i rarely get them right! Its usually by one item that im off, and as you know thats enough to get the question wrong. I am praying that i dont get many of these questions or Im afraid im not gonna do well:crying2:

Nope, you're not the only one. I was worried about SATA too.

Prioritization Delegation and Assignment by LaCharity has a lot of good SATA questions- if you're taking the test in 2 weeks you would have enough time to get through most of it because its a pretty small book. Kaplan also has an alternate format section in their toolbox that I went through once or twice if you have the online section. What you really need to do is go through each choice and determine if its yes or no. If you're like me, I also had those few that were "ehhh maybe" more often than not go with your gut.

Remember there are 15 experimental questions on the NCLEX. Just keep practicing, I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

Don't worry, Saunders cd-rom have sata questions and they have a book with 200 sata questions. Just practice until you feel comfortable.

Man oh man, I know how you feel. The easiest SATA's would be probably what could be delegated to UAP or LPN's. The rest is just hard, like you I'm usually off by 1 item. La Charity is a lifesaver, I found out really amazing stuff in that book. :)

I would not worry about this or you will psych yourself out of being able to handle the other types of questions. If they blast you with SATA and you fail, that would be the time to get some gung ho one on one help with that type of question.

I HATE SATA QUESTIONS! I am always off by one. I did have some on NCLEX today (about 4-5). Its not enough to stress out over.

I rarely got them right when practicing, but had a lot on the NCLEX and passed. I honestly felt like the NCLEX ones were more straight forward and therefore easier than the practice ones. Just do a bunch each day.

When studying for the NCLEX, I didn't do well on the SATA questions at all. I always had one wrong or one missing.

I think I only got about 4 SATA on the NCLEX & like RadBSN said, they were more straight forward than the ones I had done in practice. Just keep practicing all questions types :) Good luck!
