I had my first job interview last Friday. The interview with the DON went well. In fact, she gave me a little overview about their facility and even requested another nurse to tour me around their facility. She told me if its alright with me to be in the 7am-3pm shift, because that's the only available position that is vacant. She gave me a salary range with my qualifications and all.
After the interview, the DON asked for my RN license, SSN and drivers license and have it photocopied for background check. She asked for 2 character references. And before saying our goodbyes, she told me to expect a call from them by Friday, which will be tomorrow already.
I just wanted to know, what are my chances of getting the job? Am I good already? Please help me. The waiting thing is making me feel anxious.

Your not hired yet- they still need to call you references. However you have big chance getting that job. Goodluck.
thanks for the reply jwobtinalla. I am hoping that they will give me a call tomorrow. I've read a lot of threads already that a lot of people didn't really get a call from employers as promised. Well perhaps the DON or Human Resource can sometimes be really busy. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed, wishing and hoping. I really need a job!
