Alzheimers Nursing Facility Name

I am a Health Care Administration student and I am writing a paper about an Alzheimer's facility that I would like to open one day when I get done with college. My problem is I am writing a paper describing what it would look like, and the name of the facility. I have come up with a few names but was wanting to get ideas from other individuals that have a health care experience. Some of the names that I thought would be good are: Sunrise Alzheimer Care, Memory Lane Alzheimer Care Center, Safe Haven Alzheimers Care, this is just a few. Some history of the care that the center will offer is strictly care for Alzheimer patients, I am looking at starting out with about 30 patients. I am going to have both private and semi private rooms. There will be 400 sq. foot for the semi-private rooms and 200 sq. foot for the private rooms. This is not including the bathrooms for these rooms. There is going to be a spacious dining area for the patients to enjoy as well as a spacious visiting room that the patients can go visit with thier guests in a semi private manner. There will be a fenced in area outside for the patients to go and enjoy the outside with thier guest. I am trying to figure out the decoration of the facility as well. I am just wanting ideas since I have several ideas of my own just wanting to get some outside thoughts. Thank you everyone for your help in advance.:D

Plastic covered furniture...

Oh, it can still look pretty...

But it needs plastic because the residents always end up peeing on it.

My old facility learned this the hard way.

Cheers.

That actually sounds like a kinda fun assignment.

I am loving it, this is what I truly want to do so it is helping me to get started on my long term goals. What is your idea on the names? Thank you for your help I greatly appreciate it.

I like Safe Haven the best. It's something you want people to think about when you place a loved one there.

:twocents:

Stay away from Sunrise--I believe it's taken. Opening your own facility is a great idea, especially because there is a need. I am going to assume you will first work as an administrator in an Alzheimer's facility to obtain experience before you put your money on the line.

I will start out working in a pre-built facility and get the experience required to get a license to open my own facility. Right now I am doing a paper on a fictionalized facility that I am building. So the names of the facility is just for paper sake and maybe one day my own. I have run into a glitch finding sites that talk about the cost of opening a facility and running a facility. I am going to go to a couple of facilities to see if the administrators can help me to get a idea of the costs of running a facility. If anyone knows of some websites that might help if you don't mind posting some for me to look at that would be great.

Have you ever worked with Alzheimer's patients or in an Alzheimer's facility?

I have actually worked with Alzheimers patients in long term care facility. They had a section of the facility for just Alzheimers and I would fill in for them back there but never really was permanant but there has been some experience. I have kind of switched fields and will am getting my education in health care masters degree. When I get done I will be able to teach health care classes at college and hospital levels.
