Alvin Fall 2015

Published

Good morning, did anyone apply to Alvin for ADN program fall admission 2015?

@jbow90: hey, welcome to the forum! Youre hesi scores are extremely well :) oh yea san jac is making everything so complicated it was so easy to apply to alvin and lee. I dont think lee's deadline ended try calling them ph: 281-425-6229 ask for ms. Bea she is the assistant and very helpful! I think all you have to do is turn in the application, immunization record, transcripts, hesi scores And i think you can submit ur blue card after getting selected

What is this blue card that everyone is talking about??

What is this blue card that everyone is talking about?? Also GPA is a 3.5** not 2.5, lolol!

First you have to apply to lee adn program and they send ur name to the BON and after that you will have to fix an appointment for fingerprinting and applicants with clear criminal background check receives a blue card

Ohhhh, ok. Well I had to submit a declaratory order petition, so I'm still waiting on that to get cleared up... :/

@JBow90 why did you have to submit a declaratrou order petition? If you don't mind me asking.

It's super stupid and kind of a long story, but short version is I threw a phone at my mom and got arrested for assault. Charges were dropped, of course, but still shows on my record... but I just got a letter last night, and something came back from my juvenile record which I didn't know I had to include. I was arrested in Dallas for shop lifting in 8th grade and put on probation for a year. So that is gonna look really bad also! :/

Those "i think i'm grown years" we all went through them, it will all work out at least you started your process early. @JBow90

Does any of you know how long it takes for a college to evaluate transcripts? @Jbow90: i hope you get it cleared :)

Thanks guys! :) And I have been wondering the same thing. Didn't know there was a difference until I started reading other schools requirements. I wonder why Alvin was so easy to apply to??

I really hope I get into Alvin I applied to schools that I thought I would have a really good chance of getting into. I'm desperate at this point because my sciences will expire if I don't get in this go around and I do not want to do that all over again.

Oh no, that really would suck! I'm freaking out about getting this declaratory order. I have read it can take 4-6 months and then when I looked at San Jac lvn program it said up to a year. So might have to wait until spring semester. I'm gonna be so bummed if I get in but can't attend because they haven't made a decision yet!
