Good morning, did anyone apply to Alvin for ADN program fall admission 2015?

@hope2015 And HCC so just two Bsn programs and two adn programs. I didn't apply to San Jac because I believe they needed the Biology portion for the Hesi and none of the schools I applied required that at the time I took the Hesi.

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. I hope we all get in a program this year. I actually just got denied at Wharton. Its not looking good. But we are still in the running for Alvin!

After hearing all this I dont have much hope for Alvin I mean we all have almost the same scores for Hesi and majority of us dont live in Alvin district.. It feels like I already know whats going to happen. Sorry to sound so negative, but its just what I feel. @Tru4u, is ACC the only college left to know the result?

Yes I got in last fall. Its just my luck. They requirements just changed for Wharton. They now require Teas V. Acc is the only college I have left to hope for.

@tru4 may I ask why you didn't accept admission last fall? I think you have a good chance of getting in this go around.

@Forshia It was for financial reasons. Wife still in school and didn't finish school at that time. She had to retake a course. And I have two little ones in daycare and I'm the only one working so....But if she had finished school that fall I could have went.

I hope Thanks. Last fall biology was one of the hesi requirements and I passed it barely with like a 76 and not a lot of people passed it. This year there's no biology section so it will be a more competitive pool.

Its been 6 weeks already! I'm jonesing for a decision already! I emailed the admin assistant to see if decisions were made yet but no response.

I called the ACC nursing department today, and they havent made a decision yet and she confirmed that it will be around the April 24th and that they have a total of 130 applications. And sorry for being so negative on my previous comments, the waiting is taking a toll on me.

@hope2015 its ok! I think it's taking a toll on everyone. We have to stay encouraged and I know it's easier said than done because who wants to hear you have been denied for something you have worked so hard on, which I know all of us had to work extremely hard to get to where we are all at now. If you are like me, I was so stressed out with making sure I had all paper work in for nursing deadlines and on top of that having to go to nursing sessions and on top of all that finishing up pre reqs and taking the Hesi lol so trust me I understand but we have to walk by faith the substance of things hoped for! We have to continue to be strong because when we get into nursing school and into the field we are going to have to have that kind of attitude for our patients.
