Did anyone apply to alvin? I’ve been looking for a post but was not able to find one.

Congratulations to those who got in!

I’m #12 on the alternate list.

We can’t join the groupme group with out putting our phone numbers or being in each other’s contacts and I rather not post my # in a public forum. I’d say some one make a fb and we can all privately search it? Or if you want to do GroupMe do you have a QR code so we can join the group?

I'm sorry, let me see if this link will help.

You're invited to join my group "Alvin Community College (ADN) FALL 2019" on GroupMe. https://groupme.com/join_group/50813863/fk998qiZ

In case y'all were curious. My Stats were 89.5% Hesi overall, 76% reading and 4.0 G.P.A. Vocab 85, Math 98, grammar 78 antamony 96. I do hold a bachelor's degree and two associate degrees. I am also a certified nurse assistant (CNA). I was super worried because I got a low score in the reading part of the hesi, which they told me they focused on. Miracles really do happen, because I got in. Congrats to everyone who got it and if you didn't don't let your hopes down...

Anyone got accepted from the waitlist?

No, and no updates on moving up the list either. I would probably be the last to get accepted but I got an email about completing the background check, which it did say it will be good to get completed even if you don't get accepted (it can be used for any nursing program). No updates as yet. I know everyone from this blog is accepting their slot, but I wonder how many slots will become open?

I was wondering do you live in the area and took courses at Alvin previously. I think I lost points for those areas two things also. I have a Bachelors and a Masters degree, Overall HESI 83%, Reading 93%, GPA 3.9

No, I don't live in the area nor have I ever taken classes at Alvin. Luck, I guess ?

No luck at all, you worked hard to get in! ?

No slots have opened from those waitlisted. I guess everyone accepted their seats and we will be receiving a denial next week.

I contacted the school to know my stats. It was really good to see where I stood, I think I did great! Just not enough spots for me (65 out of 300 applications). The stats will help me go from there with my admission process when applying to nursing schools. I completed my HESI late that's why I only applied to Alvin (missed all the other deadlines) but I'll be ready for Spring. If you're still interested in applying for Fall 2019 there are some schools offering BSN like St. Thomas University whose deadline is in July (I exhausted my financial aid on my BA/MS so I'm only applying to community colleges).

See you in the hospital "Nurse Johk23" ?

Congrats to all accepted and good luck to the waitlisters. Can you share your stats. I have a 3 GPA and 93 HESI. Do I have a shot?

What is the last day to know if we got accepted or not? The waitlist has not moved since Karen sent the email.
