We use an alpine lift where I work. I'll do my best to explain how it works. It is a mechinal device like a hoyer lift. The alpine uses rechargable battery to instead of pumping you press a button for up and down.
we recharge the battery on the night shift.
the sling is rather large and cumbersome it fits from above the head the the buttock and then between the legs the sling is hooked to a "Y" shaped arm for the lift. The sling is then removed between transfers. It doesn't work for everyone. We have had some problems with shearing if removed improperly. So we use both the hoyer and the alpine. Most staff like the old fashion pump hoyer the best. I hope this helps

Has anyone ever hear of this type of transfer device. I would think that it is akin to a hoyer or Sarah lift. I need this information as soon as possible. Can anyone help me with this.
Thanks!
