Almost done with stipulations

Hi guys. I’m a nurse in the DFW area. I have been on stipulations from an event (diversion) that happened back in 2006-2009. Anyways I am nearing the end of my stipulations and want to find a different job once I complete my stips. Because they are still friendly I have been in psych for 3 years but I want to go back to an acute care hospital, particularly in Fort Worth. Anyone done this and was it difficult to back into a hospital setting? And will the fact I was on a board order hinder my employment options?

LMB I'm glad to hear that you are doing well with the stipulations ending for you. Congrats on that. Question, will your stipulations fall off after the years are completed? If it is completely erased from your nursing license then the sky is the limit. Hospitals should be able to hire you as long as the background check is cleared out. I would continue looking for other avenues if you run into any problems. Home health/hospice is always looking for nurses as well.

I am currently going thru the same situation but fresh out of grad school for something that happened to me in 2015. It is hard to find anything where the employers are willing to work with you. I did not know it would be this hard. I know you cannot put names on here but can you DM me? I would like to know more about how you overcame this whole process.

The stipulations will fall off but the record of the discipline will always be public record unfortunately.
