Anyone familiar with this online school? I was looking into it for medical assisting. I think I've heard the name before but I don't know if it's a good program and well known by employers. I'm desperate to find a career in the medical field that doesn't require too much schooling so I looked into this

How do you do clinical experience ? All private & technical schools are required to provide statistics on students rate of on time completion , graduation, course repeat or withdrawal , job placement etc. to give you a realistic idea of what you are getting into.
When I googled allied schools online medical assistant it's not a school but a directory of programs that pay to be listed on their site.
Previously you said you are in Ocean County, try OCC adult education or OCVTS both have medical/allied health programs that are well respected and cost much less than the private for profit schools

This was the website. I believe they stated they match you up with clinical hours near your hometown. Anything online would be great for my schedule because soon I will be home with my son and my husband will be working nights so I won't be able to get out to night classes or daytime classes
It's suspect as they do not provide the required disclosures on completion rates, job placement and student debt as required by law.
Like this:

The cost is nearly $5000.
Do you think it would be worth a shot to contact then for that information because maybe I can't find the page from that link I posted
Since they do not have class descriptions or any of the information traditional (online or brick & mortar ) schools have available I am guessing you will get a lot of sales calls. There are no refunds once you access the online content.
Red flags they are not forthcoming with graduation rates and job placement as required by law. The course descriptions are not public information and the only way to register is to call them. Even brick and mortar schools have online, mail or in person options for registration. They do not qualify for federal financial aid either so cost would be totally out of pocket.
The decision is yours but there is no easy way to complete this type of training and if if sounds too good to be true it likely is.
There are many public and for profit private schools in NJ with established reputations. You will likely have a difficult time securing an externship, if a practice or facility is even willing to work with an online only school based in California.
I agree with you completely that's why I asked here because I have no knowledge (obviously) of schooling. I just need to find something that can agree with my schedule
