Allied Health Coordinator

I am interviewing for a Allied Health Faculty Coordinator position in a few days. This is a position in a local community college and is over the CNA program. I have some teaching experience - as a clinical instructor in a nursing program. My long term goal is to work as a full time instructor in a nursing program. I am wondering if this position would be a good introduction to the community college system as a FT employee and if it would be good experience to help prepare me for a full time nursing instructor position.

Here is the basic job description:

* Teach Allied Health courses as assigned, maintain course records, and assist with course scheduling.
* Advise students concerning course requirements, counsel students, and conduct student conferences as needed.
* Assist in selection, orientation, training, evaluation, and updating Allied Health faculty.
* Assist in updating, maintaining, and distributing course outlines and materials for Allied Health courses.
* Assist in coordinating clinical sites and course offerings for both traditional classroom and online delivery for Allied Health curriculums.
* Assist in reviewing textbooks and software.
* Evaluate and assist in the selection of supplies and equipment for Allied Health program.
* Assist in the recruitment and marketing activities (including creation and maintenance of brochures, mailings, databases, and directories) as needed.
* Represent the College at appropriate meetings, activities, and conferences.
