I took it over a year ago and also found it to be pretty basic. Some of the math questions were more challenging than I thought (because I hadn't touched long division since 6th grade), but I still got an excellent score. According to QC's website (http://www.quincycollege.edu/qc/enroll/allied.htm) they use the College Board's "Accuplacer" test- only the "Reading Comprehension," "Sentences Skills" and "Arithmetic" sections. If you go to http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/accuplacer/
you will find a link with sample questions- but only review questions from those three sections. Hope this helps.
Hi everyone! Can anyone who's gone to Quincy College tell me what is on the Allied Health Admission Test? I hear it's just arithmetic, reading comprehension, punctuation and the like. Is that true? I'm just wondering because some nursing school admission tests test for a basic knowledge of science as well.
Thanks for any information!

Hello,
I agree with all the previous posts. The tests are pretty basic but the math may be difficult for some. I did very well when i took the tests but chose not to enroll into Quincy college. It's just the basics so you should do fine.
This link should help as far as what to expect....

Good luck!
I took the NET a few weeks ago at QC. I really didn't spend much time studying and I have been out of school since 1987. I did not have a hard with it at all. Just take your time on the reading/comprehension and read carefully. The math was not too bad - you need to be sure to understand basic math concepts (+, - , X, /) as well as percentages and be able to convert decimals, percentages, etc. You need to have some understanding of beginning algebra (multiplying and dividing fractions). I think those were the main things that pop into my head.
Good Luck if you are taking the test.
P.S. Try searching Google for free NET practice tests - I'm sure they are out there.
I missed the RN deadline for application - it was January 15th. When I applied last month they were still taking applicants for the LPN full time day program (not sure about the part time) so that is what I am enrolled in. I would definitely call them ASAP and ask if there are still open slots if you are interested in the LRN.
Let me know how it goes - we may be classmates!
