ALL CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL- St. Petersburg/Tampa Area

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all :)

I was wondering if any one has ever worked, known someone that worked, or lives, has lived, etc.. in this hospital/area?

I am planning to move to this area once I complete my RN program here in Miami.

I am so sick of Miami...I need a new scenery/ambiance.

Out of all the places I have been searching in Florida...this seems to "stand out"...

Soo.. I would love to kno if someone has "first hand" experience in this area..hospital, etc..

Thanks so much in advance!

I live in largo about 30 minutes from the hospital. They say that all children's is great! They are building a huge expansion to the hospital. I will be working at Morton Plant as a new Grad!

I just moved to St Petersburg in February and work right next door to All children's at Bayfront Medical Center. I really enjoy this area. These hospitals are right downtown so its great for when the weather is nice. I enjoy my lunches where I can walk down to the water or just around downtown, sometimes I just go onto USF campus next door and they have a Borders books and I just get a cofee. Its nice.

St Petersburg also has a lot of great cafes and restaurants, and I enjoy the closeness to the beach. I live in N St pete (gateway area close to Gandy) so I can also access Tampa easily. It takes me about 10 minutes to get to work and 20-25 minutes to the beach (just taking local roads). St pete also gets a lot of festivals (jazz, caribbean, grand prix). Its definitely not as exciting as Miami, butit has its charms. Overall, I enjoy it here and am glad I took the job opportunity in this area.

Thank you for your responses!!

I cant find the PM button to PM any of you...as I wanted to inquire further on cost of living (RN salary/rentals ratio, etc..)

SO please please if you get a chance..PM me if with this info and any other info on this area that you may have!

Thank you sooo much in advance!! :)
