Albany State University Spring 2025

Just started this for anyone wanting to communicate that's applying to Albany nursing Spring 2025 programs 🙂 ! Have anybody applied ?

I just spoke with someone in the Nursing department.... They said we should hear something by the end of the month

@Nicole81 a friend that applied emailed them and they said their plan is to have decision by November 15th so I'm guessing around the 15th and the week of the 17th keep a look out 

I'm scared my GPA is a 3.0

@nia20 yes I'm a little nervous a lot of my classes are older so I'm concerned about how they will calculate GPA .... I only have 3 current classes( which one is my A&P II that I had to retake bc my other one was over 8years )  .... If I don't make it In I will be going to a private school which I was trying to avoid for cost reasons! I was denied at southern crescent bc I had a C in my math I took in 2009. I met GPA requirements and HESI score but you can't have any Cs on your transcript for Nursing core classes.

@Nicole81 I think you are okay at Albany with one C , I heard of people getting in with c's.. you should call and ask how old prerequisites can be

Has anyone heard an acceptance or denial for Spring 2025 yet? I am still nervously waiting. 18 days past the deadline, should be soon I hope?!

@Nicole81I am really hoping we hear something this week. I thought they would mail letters on the 14th and from there just waiting on snail mail. But I did see on posts from previous years classes that they received email in their ASU email also. Any idea on how many they will accept? Any clue on what the class structure and schedule will be like if we get in? I applied to the HCP to RN program. Driving from Gainesville, Ga. so the campus doesn't matter to me, its still gonna be a drive either way. I just want in!!

@medicsully When I called they told me we would hear back by the end of the month. Hopefully we hear something back by end of this week since next week is a holiday . I'm not sure how many they accept( I thought I saw 50 somewhere) and I believe class for HCP bridge is once a week on Thursday ( I'm not 100% )

they told me via email that we'd hear back by the end of this month. Still kind of a long time left potentially! I'm hoping before Thanksgiving.

When I called a couple months back, a faculty member said it was tentatively planned for Thursdays, and to plan for that unless something major changed on their end.  

I would still love to know class times and clinical times,  but haven't been able to get in contact with any current or past bridge program students.

I haven't heard anything back yet still waiting they usually give acceptance   around the 15th usually but they said the end of the month hoping we here by this week since next week school will be out for break ! But we are getting them via email
