Did anyone on here apply to the Albany State/ Darton ADN program for the summer 2017 semester. Just trying to find out when they will be mailing acceptance letters.

What was your TEAs score and GPA Mrs.BAB?

Yayyyyyy!!!! Finally found a current tread, lol. I received my acceptance letter April 1st. Congrats to all that got accepted and to those that did not please don't get discouraged. I have been chasing this nursing dream for 6 long years now. So being accepted into this program is still not a reality to me not to mention I have only been an LPN for 11 months now, so nursing school is still very fresh in my mind. I will be traveling from Stockbridge, so a 2.5 hr drive for me, can not wait to meet my fellow RN peers!!!! Congrats again!!!

Congrats on getting in. That's a hell of a commute, it'll be worth it though.

OMG, yesssss it will be. I keep trying to tell my husband the same thing that it will be worth it. LPN school was 4 days a week and I traveled 1 hr 15 going and 2 hours back, traffic was horrible in the afternoon, but I made it through that year so cheers to a year in a half and steps to changing my initials.

Are the Spring 2017 books the same books we are using for Summer. Would love to get a head start and possibly even see if Amazon will have some cheaper books .

Hello Everyone. Um looking for people applying to the Spring 2018 at Darton? I am so nervous! I cant patiently wait for this letter in the mail to know if I got accepted. I noticed that nmchap86 got wait listed and you made a 66 on your teas. Did u eventually get accepted? Also I saw yiu got waitlisted but someone who had a higher teas score than you didn't get in? Im trying to figure out how is that possible? What all do they really look for? They ,ust factor in if you have completed a lot of your pre reqs. If anyone have any info for me about Dartons program please help me out, I need you guys to help ease my mind please before I go insane waiting on this letter!!!

Did you ever get accepted later on?

Hi, did a seat open up for you? I will be attending Spring 18...

I made a 70 on the TEAS only after taking it 5 times.:( I have a 3.09 gpa! I actually got accepted into Gordon State for Spring 18. I have all of my pre req completed. I submitted my phlebotomy, dialysis, and cpr certification with both applications and got in...Keep the faith and don't ever give up! I hope a seat becomes available for you! Are you commuting from somewhere? I will be driving from Macon.

Hello! No, I didn't get accepted for summer 2017 when I was wait listed. I retook the teas and applied for Fall 2017 and got accepted.

That's great, how do you like the program? I was accepted into Gordon State and I really am stuck on making a decision....do you commute? Are the 5 semesters continuous (spring, summer, fall, spring, summer) and how many days are clinicals?

Sorry so many questions, I'm just very anxious and excited, and I have a million questions!!!!

Yes, I commute. about 95% of the class commutes. The program is not that bad. Yes, It is 5 continuous semesters. First semester 2, 6 hours clinical days. Class is every Monday and labs are every Tues or Wed.
