Albany State University Bridge Fall 2017

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hello!

I have recently applied to Albany State University, formerly Darton State College, for the Fall 2017 LPN to RN Bridge. Just wanted to see if anyone else on here has applied? What were your TEAS Scores? GPA?

Thanks!

I had a 4.0 and a 85.3 on the Teas and all my other classes and sciences are done. I hope you get in! Just redo the TEAS is a good plan!

Thanks so much. I have all core classes done as well. Do you have any advice or something that you can give as far as study material and main focuses for the TEAS? Your score is awesome.

retake the teas and try to finish up some more core classes

Well hopefully that means good news for me I have a 3.5 GPA and an 80 on my teas hopefully my letter will be on today. I'll keep y'all posted. Congratulations everyone can't wait to meet y'all

The TEAS was hard! Actually, my worst section was the last one (Grammar) etc... it's been 20 years since I have taken an English class and remember all the punctuation rules after Grammer check on computers all this time has been hard. I used the ATI book and would go through each lesson, usually skipping to the practice questions on each section. If I had trouble then I would go back and study that section. For math, try to memorize your basic formulas!

Does anyone know what is the cost of the program .

My LPN classmate is in the program now and she said prepare for the cost to start at $2,500 and up $2,500-$5,000 per semester.

Do you know if I can get with her or can you ask her how the classes are broken up.

thanks

I found a great resource in YouTube. It sounds crazy but if you search for help passing the teas exams there is an endless amount of videos covering basic topics. There are almost all the elements of teaching/learning to maximize your time and effort: visual/audible/ take notes and there is tactile. When you think you have mastered a certain concept teach it to your wall or pillow or 5 year old. Being able to repeat what you know in your head from start to finish just solidifies it for later recall. I wish you luck. If you need any further help or ideas just let me know. :) there is no one way or easy way. Watch Professor John Campbells anatomy and physiology classes on YouTube as well he is a great professor and it is like getting free classes. My 6 year old will ace her A&P classes when she gets older. Haha. She knows all of her bones, systems, CPR, and base vitals. She has been my guinea pig for the past year. :) Have a great day. 👍💕

She has a Facebook page. Just messenger her Chentel baker

Thank you so much I got in touch with her and she was great with the info

Anyone going to be traveling to school? It's a 4 hour drive for me, so I'm looking into extended stay places to rent or Airbnb. I also work full time on a med/surf floor, ER and ICU... it's going to be hard keeping up! My CNO is working around my school schedule... so I'll have tues, wed and Thursdays off which leaves me working almost every weekend and I'm a single mom! Lord give me strength! í ½í¸
