University of Mobile

Hi, I'm interested in applying to the University of Mobile accelerated bsn program. Is anyone currently in the program? If so, can you give me any insight because I don't live in the area. Thanks!

I have already sent all my transcripts. They actually got my stuff mixed up and accepted me to the traditional program so they had to redo my application. I am anxious to hear something because I will have to take The pathophysiology class they offer online this fall and don't want to register if I don't need to.

I applied back in May & received a call a couple weeks ago for me to register for pathophysiology for the fall semester. I asked if I was guaranteed to start the accelerated program in January & was told that I would as long as I passed pathophysiology. And they also said that I would receive an official letter sometime during the fall semester.

If you hear anything from anyone that's currently in the program, will you please post here. I've been asking around myself & had no luck.

I applied for the January 2019 ABSN cohort and have been conditionally accepted pending successful completion of Microbiology & Pathophysiology (both now offered online - yay!) in the Fall. I live about 2 hours from Mobile, and am an adult student with a family, so I'm a little nervous about how I'm going to make it work, but the opportunity is incredible compared to the prereq/deadline restrictions with most local ADN programs...if I can make it through one year of this, I'll have my BSN by the time I'd only be about a third of the way through with an Associate's from a local CC.

I'm also very interested in finding someone who's made it through the program, so I can get an idea of what kind of class & clinical schedule I can expect.

Hey everyone! I have also been accepted for the 2019 start pending I pass pathophysiology and also human growth and development. Has anyone been able to get in touch with anyone who is currently in the program? I would be anxious to hear how the year has been so far. Looking forward to this program. Best of luck to everyone!

Specializes in ICU.

How does one take microbiology "online?" We had to have a lab in micro; is that not a requirement anymore? Just wondering. I am a graduate of the University of Mobile.

What year did you graduate from the University of Mobile? Did you do accelerated or non? Finally, did you take Pathophysiology through UM and how was it? Thanks.

Hi everyone! has anyone decided on moving to Mobile and living arrangements? I plan to start clinical in Janurary 2019.

Hi i have decided on moving to mobile in jan 2019 as well. I was thinking of renting an apartment. What are your plans for living arrangements? Do you want roommate?

Have you been to Mobile before? Yes I'm currently looking at some possible options.

No never been to mobile. I been looking online for apartments near the school.

I've never been either! Have you find anything in particular as yet?
