Hi everyone,
I was accepted to University of Alabama's dual FNP/PMHNP program. I have a goal to own my own practice and specialize in functional and obesity medicine, and I just can't decide if I should go the FNP route or the PMHNP route for this, so I thought the dual would be the best option.
My only issue - I am so nervous to find my own preceptors for clinicals. Has anyone been in a program where they needed to find their own? My undergrad is from Penn, and I can't imagine not being placed, but I also really love the dual degree aspect (especially for the cost) that Alabama offers. I did apply to some other schools that I won't hear back from for a bit, all of which place you for clinicals...but I just keep going back to the appeal of the dual degrees.
Can anyone shed some light? I would love insight.

Hi, how was the interview process? I'm thinking of applying soon! I wish the dual FNP program was 3 years Vs 4. So many schools require you to find your own clinicals!
thank you!
