Hey! Just curious who out here has applied for NTP for the boards in June/July. I graduate in May and I have just started my application process and was wondering if anyone had any information. I am applying for OB track which I know is even more competitive. Any advice on the application and interview? Who has done this before? I hope this is our year!

I'm applying to the NTP this summer as well, med-surg route. There are tons of people from this site that went through this already, some are still active

I am also reapplying from last year. Med/surg as well. GL to everyone!
Hey littlemissfit, I remember you from the posts last summer!! I haven't heard of anyone else applying again, I wonder if it's just you and me from this site! How do you feel applying again?! I'm so nervous because it's so competitive, but I know I really improved everything I possibly could this time. My Chief Nurse told me he wasn't sure what the board missed last year because he felt I was a solid applicant. Recruiter felt that way too, but he's sortof paid to do that -.-
You know to be completely honest, I'm reapplying but I'm not fretting like last year. I just left an awesome job from which I was charge and learned a lot of clinical skills and did a lot, and now I'm in the ER. I've put myself in a good position either way. I look at it as if I get in this time it's meant to be and for a reason and if not then it's for a different reason, but all good. I've grown a lot the past year clinically and personally and I'm a really good nurse and whether I stay here in the ER or get to join the AF I'll still be a really good nurse getting better every year. Of course I want the AF im not saying I don't, I'm just looking forward to whatever is next :)
That's a great attitude to have. I truly feel I belong in the Air Force and that is where I can become the best nurse and person I can be. That being said, I absolutely LOVE my current job and hospital, it is the best place I could be right now and I've learned so much in just a matter of months. I definitely look forward to the future and whatever is in store for me! God has a plan, He just hasn't revealed it yet!!
