I am about a year out of graduating with my BSN, and I am going into either the AF or Navy. I have already started the application process, and I am scheduled to go to MEPS in the next few weeks. I was just wondering what programs the Air Force or Navy offers its Nurses to pursue a Masters or even a PHD level education. I have searched and searched and I have found nothing and the Air Force Health Professions recruiter seems clueless.
I have also talked to the Navy recruiter and he seems a little bit more knowledgeable. I forget the acronym he used for the program but it was something along the lines of going to school was your job once you get picked up for the program.
I am prior service 8 years in the AF, but am open to the Navy as well. I would like to go into the branch that has the best education benefits. I figurethe military will use me so I have to use them right?
Thanks

I am in the AF and go to school with several Navy persons. The school process from what I can tell is set up almost identically in both branches. Technically, it may be a little quicker to get picked up for one of the AF programs, but it rarely works out that way.
