Hi,
I just wanted to inquire about anyone who has had experience being in the Airforce as a nurse. I just graduated in dec. and im considering the option of joining. yet, i do not want to go into this decision blindfolded like many do.
Anyone who can give me a positive/negative on airforce nursing and their experience would be greatly appreciated!!
Looking forward to any replies, MS

Hi Moninurse,
My best friend is actually joining and she just graduated the same time as you did. If you are interested in chatting with her...let me know. I know one of the reasons why she is joining d/t loan reimbursement. Anyways, good luck with your decision, so much opportunities out there!

I have a friend that went into the Air Force...if I remember correctly they paid for her CRNA school...I think. I've been in nursing about 18 years now & my only regret (kinda minor, but still a regret) is that I never went into the service. I think you would have options there that you wouldn't as John Q. Civilian...especially with advanced training funding.
