Hi everyone.
Please i would appreciate your advice on this issue........ I applied for canadian PR but i used an agent as my representative. I did so because i wasnt aware it was a very simple process, secondly i was adviced by a collegue who used the same agent. Now that i know that using an agent is of no use, i would like to pull out. But my problem now is this... I signed a contract saying i will pay them 2 installments. Ist before my application was lodged in and 2nd payment once i am asked to do the medicals. Right now i ve not heard from CIC , and the agent does not update me unless i write them. Do i withdraw them from being my representative since i ve not been asked to go for medicals yet? will that mean breech of contract? please advice me .
Second problem is that i sat for Sec assessment 8 weeks ago. I ve been contacting the college but they keep saying its under review. To all who had SEC, how long did u have to wait? Does waiting this long mean good or bad news:redbeathe. Please i need some reassurance here cos am about to burst into pieces. Thanks and God bless you all.

When did you apply for PR? Things with CIC are running slow at the moment and there is no telling how long it will be but you should be able to get an idea from this list http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm/skilled-fed.asp depending on country filed with
Thanks Silverdragon for the prompt reply. I applied in 2009 june, but like i said through an agency. I got a letter from CIC via the agency in 2010 january requesting for complete documents which i sent by march. I got AOR in july 2010 from kingston jamaica. Since then i havent heard from CIC again regarding the PR. I applied for tourist visa for SEC and it was granted. I only visited for one week. I really do not know what is happening, that is why i want to withdraw the ageny from being my representative, maybe only then would CIC contact me directly. Advice me please.

Before you withdraw the application from your representative, make sure it won't affect the processing time with CIC because representative might withdraw your application from CIC for breach of contract with them; which means you will start afresh. If ur application was submitted in June,2009, you should be hearing from CIC for Medical request shortly. You can also e-mail CIC using ur e-mail provided in their file when first applied. CIC usually reply either way ur application was processed, but might take weeks. Contact me via e-mail with any questions. I will do my best to assist you any way I can. Remain Blessed
