Hello,
I am thinking of picking up some extra shift in LTC with an agency. I have 5 years LTC experience, but have never done pool before. I was wondering if I should start off on third shift because it "usually" quieter or during the day/evening shift where there is more help around? Or can any one recommend how to prepare for a shift?
Thanks!

i work agency, and IMO nights are the best......Typically when I work evenings, I have to complete discharges, accept and record Dr's orders, med pass, etc. If you are familiar with a certain facility that's ok, but if your're not really in tune to how a facility works, that may cause you snf core staff undo stress because of the extra questions......This is only IMO, so weigh your options, talk to others.....Go to the Agency nurse tab under SPECIALTY. Best wishes!
