Does it seriously become easier to land a nursing job? I'm in the NJ area where its devoid of nursing opportunities but I may be able to land a job at a rehabilitation center/long term care pretty soon. I'm curious though if I end up going to LTC how is mobility from going to that to lets say med surg/ER? I've heard people getting rejected due to lack of acute care experience. Your thoughts?
It depends on location and what type of nursing job you are going after. Some areas are saturated and others are not. I've spent nearly a year looking for another position and just got one. I have almost 4 years nursing experience with over half in acute care.
