This is a FREE Residency program offered by AFPMC. The program consists of 1 month didactic lecture and 6 months duty (no salary nor allowance). I still have to confirm if you will be awarded a CERTIFICATE OF EMPLOYMENT instead of a training certificate if you finish the program.
FIRST, call the training hall for any updates regarding the RN RESIDENCY EXAMINATION.
You have to go to AFPMC to sign your name on your selected date of examination, put your contact number and ask for instructions. Greet everyone you meet with a smile, especially to the uniformed individuals (military personnel)!
Initially, on the day of the exam, you don't need to bring your credentials, just wear your complete white uniform with cap and hair tied in a bun (if female LOL), your ballpen/pencil, 30 Php, they are not strict with the board rating and bring a valid ID just in case the guard will ask you for it (I recommend you bring a valid ID everytime you go out of the house). I almost forgot, you have to know someone who is a military personnel or someone who works at the institution because you'll be asked to fill that up on the examination paper but it's okay if you have none ( I guess LOL)
About the 100-item exam:
Almost half of the exam I took last 5/26/2014 composed of BASIC drug and IV computations (don't be scared, you can do it!) and some board exam-type questions (funda, MS, Pedia, Maternal). The test paper that I got had markings on it LOL it was kind of confusing whether I'll follow the ideas/answer of the previous person who used it. I suggest you erase the markings before you answer the question, it's quite confusing when it comes to topics that you haven't mastered yet.
After or during the 2-hour exam, you'll be given a piece of paper containing the necessary requirements that you need to bring on the day of the interview (if you pass the exam). I don't have any idea when is the exact date for the next batch of residents. And the results for our exam last 5/26 will be out 2nd week of July. I hope I'll pass so I can fully share my experience at AFPMC.
As of now, I'm working as a PDN at Pinoy Nurse On Call.

Thank you for the info. By the way do they entertain applicants on saturday?
I don't think so, I called their main number last Saturday and was forwaded to the training hall, and the nice woman on the phone told me that if nobody's answering, then the office is closed (lol), and theeeen, nobody answered. I recommend you call them first on weekdays, just to be sure. :)
Thanks curiousitytwins. I'll just visit them this monday. Can i ask the contact number of their training hall? Thanks again :)
