Ok, so does anyone really know which AF base hospitals have NICU? The last document I received from a recruiter in Chicago had the following listed: Lackland, TX; Langley, VA; Travis, CA; Wright-Patterson, OH; Landstuhl, Germany; and Japan.I tried searching everywhere for information on Neonatal nursing in the AF, but have yet to find anything. My new recruiter out of MI said that his document has Lackland, Travis, Keesler, Germany, and Japan on it. Now, I know the one at Keesler was closing or is closed. I was told that Langley was adding a NICU to the new hospital. But I can not get any information as to whether Wright-Patterson has a NICU or special care nursery.
Can anyone help me with this. Is there anyone stationed at Wright-Patterson that can check on this for me?
I found a phone numbers for WPAB medical center that has the NICU listed. You can always call the unit and see what they can tell you.

I'm at Langley and have a friend that just PCS'd to Wright-Patt. I talked to her this morning and the answer is no, they do not have a NICU.
Langley does have a NICU and will be expanding services when we move to the new hospital sometime next year. Right now the Langley NICU does not support deliveries of infants less then 34 weeks, however we will deliver babies less then 34 weeks if unavoidable then transport them to a civilian facility or to Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
