AF or AROTC? Info appreciated!

I can't find the correct forum on this website. Any info is appreciated. My daughter just started her senior year in HS and is pretty set on nursing. She is an EMT at our local firehouse, a great student and has a lot of leadership skills. The college she is interested in had both AROTC and AFROTC. I'm confused about the pro's vs cons. We are hoping for some sort of scholarship as well. Questions. If no scholarship, does that mean no commitment? I've heard deployments are shorter for AF, but that you go right in to active duty. Also, is it true that the army is losing money and not paying for scholarships that were promised? So much info out there. Thank you to all who can respond!
