I have my FNP and did cosmetics for awhile. The most successful providers of Botox and fillers I've found in So Cal are not NPs but RNs. I don't think it's necessary to get your NP to be successful in that field.

Thanks for your response!
Would you say more companies are willing to hire RNs or NPs more?

Are there any aesthetic / cosmetic NPs out there in SoCal? If you are, did you get a masters for FNP? I want to know if it is worth going back to NP school even though, in the end, I'd want to be in the aesthetic field.
I am an RN with my BSN considering going back to school. I worked med surg, am currently working in an ICU, and have realized that I cannot do bedside nursing forever. I have always had a strong desire to be a cosmetic nurse but I live in Kansas and cosmetic nursing is not big here at all.
Honestly I am trying to decide between moving to SoCal to try to work as a cosmetic RN and get experience now, or to stay in KS & get my NP first and then move out there.
