I may have some leftover money in the FSA account this year - any recommendations on type/brand of AED to keep at home ? (I am looking at AED Superstore)
Would rather buy one of these than $1200 worth of bandaids/OTC meds.
I found out they are an eligible expense.

Just curious - who the heck are you going to use this on?
Okay, so lets get past that - look at Police Gear - Police Equipment - Police Uniforms - Public Safety Equipment: Galls - for some comparisons.
Well, um, just my wife and me at the house - neither of us have any previous cardio issues, but just took the BLS and was interested in them, since the money is spent (stupid way the FSA stuff is setup that you have to "guess" how much medical expenses you MAY have) and better to have one and not need it, than need one and not have it, but would rather have the $$$ back in my pocket either way . . . so I have reviewed the FSA list and not much else there to account for a large purchase.
Used to be eye glasses were expensive, but Zenni eliminated that large expense. So eye exams for both of us are around $100 each (in Nov/Dec).
Pre-nursing student and stethoscope is not on FSA list . . . no room in the house for more band-aids . . . will wait until November and see how much money is left . . .

Here's just a thought for you. If you don't really want an AED -- I would suggest buying some durable medical equipment and reselling it...maybe finding a good deal on some stuff and making a small profit. Breast pumps, wheelchairs, tympanic thermometers, nebulizers, glucometers etc. should all be eligible items.
