I am currently an active duty soldier that is in the process of putting together my AECP packet which is due June 30. There isn't anyone in my unit or that I know that can relate or understand this process. I am looking for anyone that has insight and could answer some specific questions about this process....

The board met on the 2nd and 3rd of August. Last year's milper message came out on the 10th, so I am hoping to hear the results this week sometime. If you did submit your packet... what was your GPA, GT, PT, and did you have a conditional or unconditional letter of acceptance?

waiting for 2013 boards results too.

GPA- 3.2, GT-135 and a PT of 270 closing my fingers.

Just wanted to say I also applied, and I recently heard that the board was now being held from the 13-15. Good luck to everyone!

I wouldn't stress about the GT score. When I applied I worried that my GT score was not competive. When I got my job as an army musician the GT was irrelevant, and I blew it off. I got a 115. When I inquired about retaking the test for AECP, I was told that all I needed was a 110. Someone with a higher GT score does not get more points or greater consideration.

GT=115 GPA= science (4.0) overall(3.8) PT=280

I agree about the GT score. Of course I'm only making assumptions here, but I think time in service, letter of intents, and having everything in on time are your biggest worries. I've met two individuals from last years ineligible list. One was passed over because they had more the 9 credits to complete, the other a thyroid condition. Im pretty much in the same boat. GT 120, PT 298, GPA 3.9, conditional letter of acceptance. Good luck all again!

I hope the bored did not get moved because the suspense is killing me :) Are most people in the medical feild already? I am signal and I think I have a descent chance but like everybody I have my doubts but I am stay positive and working on completing those 2 chemistry courses. Then my prereqs wil be done. I think to myself I can always apply again next year if I am not selected this time. Good luck to all!!

I dont know the ratio, but I know several none medical individuals who both applied and got accepted. So I would not worry about that. You needed two Chem classes? Thankfully the school I got a conditional letter of acceptance from only required one Chem class.

I was accepted fy12 and do not come from a medical background. 8yearmedic is right focus on those chem course and get those unconditional letters. I ended up taking an extra chem (organic)and math (precalc)because different schools wanted different prerequisites. @ 8yearmedic where do you plan on going when you are accepted?

I am trying to go to UNC Pembroke and they require 2 chem courses. Kind of sucks but it is close to home so I can deal with it. Right now I have a conditional letter of acceptance. Thanks for your comments :)

First congratulations on being selected! So did you start school at the beginning of the year or just recently? I’m trying not to put the horse before the cart here, but thanks for thinking I'll get accepted! How difficult was the post board packet compare to the pre-board? To answer your question, I got a conditional letter of acceptance to a school in Kansas, but I am preparing to submit to California State Universities as well in case they say I need to pick a different school.

Lntramel,

Congratulations on getting your CLA to UNC Pembroke! From what I hear, that is a pretty great school! I am starting to get a bit antsy myself... I check the milper messages twice a day now, and I've been avoiding looking. A watched pot never boils afterall... Several people have asked me when do I find out about my packet, to which I reply, hopefully by the end of next week. My friend applied to the IPAP and turned in her packet 1 march; she still hasn't heard anything. Hopefully the wait will not be as painful for us!
